Sprocket Changing Instructions

Remove the Covers and expose the chain and sprocket.

I put my bike on my stand to make the job easier. Remove the right hand side cover and then the front sprocket cover on the right hand side of the motor. I removed my exhaust pipe on this side because I was installing new ones at the same time. It is not necessary, but a lot easier to work with it off.
Loosen the rear axle with a 24mm socket (you may need to hold the opposite side of the axle with another big wrench to prevent it from turning)

Loosen the 8mm chain tension adjusters up all the way so the chain is as slack as it goes. Be sure to loosen both sides. You turn these inwards to loosen, reverse of a normal nut.
The chain should be nice and slack and ready for removal from the sprocket.
On to the next step.
