Quick Bump,
Ray, had a run up last weekend, I think we were right about going up that way.
The other way through Kirby Stephen will be much more straight forward and a bit quicker as well. Not likely to lose as many folk.
Talking about getting lost is Stretchermonkey coming?

Bonnie and I had run through the other week, but I could not remember where the road to the Tan Hill came from... We ended up having a cuppa in Hawes and then came home.

Probably not going to help you Ray, but Hawes is in Wensleydale and Tan Hill is in Arkengarthdale. When I lived in North Stainley, used to go Masham, stop off at the pub next to the Theakstones Brewery, refuel, up to Leyburn over Redmire Moor to Reeth up the Arkengarthdale Road to Tan Hill, some where near the pub, there used to be a little humpy back on the road, that if you hit it fast enough, could get plenty of air and loads of hang time . The joys of youth. This is a bit of a redundant post, as we'll be coming from the opposite direction

I must admit Andy, I was a nipper on the back of my elder brothers bike when I first went up that way....
The Lake District always sticks in my mind Easter 1976 when Thin Lizzy was in the charts with "The boys are back in town"
