i know its been done, taking a smaller aftermarket speedo and putting it in the dash unit, but cant find a thread on it though i thought one existed. Does anybody have any tips on doing this mod?

I think this would be cool also, but thought it would be very difficult to run the speedo cable to it. I'm interested to see what people have come up with.

If one would want to do this with a mechanical speedo instead of a digital, does anybody know the guage ratio for the stock unit?

2260:1 (I think that's the number, it's definitely not 2:1 or 1:1).
