Just picked up one of these on ebay. Hopefully it'll work with my garage door opener, then I'll tear it apart and try to attach a separate button.

Just finished wiring one up on the week end. I used the translated link above as a guide to solder wires onto the circuit board of my remote. I then put the remote under the seat and ran the wires to a button just under the ignition, similar to pharmboy327. Took less than an hour.

I found a possible switch. It seems a little large-ish, but it's a textured black and isn't too obtrusive. It's at least worth a look for the price.

Take pics when you get it installed. I like that better than the switch I have now for my accessory light.

Grrr... got the remote I ordered from ebay today. It wont work with my garage door.

I like the black better. Might have to switch out the switch.

I don't know. It is a very generic 315 Mhz remote.

The black switch is a very high quality switch. It isn't real small but the quality of the internal parts far surpasses what you would find at Radio shack. We use both red and black here on some of the actor controlled products we manufacture.
