Nice new exhaust nuts and studs, the originals where quite rusty and annoyed me, sometimes I have to much time! Its possible to change the studs, 8mm X 37mm and fit new nuts with the exhaust fitted to bike, but you need quite dainty spanners.
And of course be brave enough to unscrew the original studs without thinking they may shear off, they were not that tight.

They could also pull the threads out of the head with them, not uncommon with aluminum.

Stainless can be difficult to undo after a while as well Ray, the threads can gall togeather, I have a small amount of copperslip on them.

would it maybe be wise to use a little anti-sieze on the threads before install?? i am not sure how that stuff holds up to heat.

I have on all my other bikes used coppercoat, this will stand the heat and also make it so it's easier to undo years down the line. When I build the america back up I will use something to hold the bar in place in the head and coppercoat on the threads.. Think I explained that
