Just wondering if any of y'all have any experience or comments on these. I picke up a pair of the Balika LS yesterday. I did a little running in them last night, not nearly enought for a review, that will be months down the line. But they do have a good fit and feel.

Looks like they would be terribly uncomfortable.

I wouldn't say they're for everyone, and different models feel different. I tried on a few before choosing mine. Some were too tight across the top and others i could feel the stitches between the toes. But the ones I picked actually fit like a true glove so to speak. I like being barefoot but I have girly pansey feet, even walking on rough grass bothers me, these have a very minimal feel while still offering some protection. They let your feet move and bend more natural than normal shoes. Like I said I understand they are not for eveyone and I'm deffinately not trying to sell anyone on them. I was just curious about them and for 40% off I figured I'd give em a shot.

To each their own, is a good policy concerning these. If you like them and they make you happy, they are a net positive. So rock on with them crazy kicks.

I have a pair of Body Glove Tritons that I use in the kayak and around beaches and riverbanks that may have broken glass/fishhooks or other debris. I've looked at these, but I've got one of those long index toes and can't find a style to fit that. If I do, I'll have a pair.

I'm considering buying a paddleboard and can't think of better footwear.

For use in the Kayak and running on the beach I think they would be great. For running anywhere else I just couldn't imagine my feet or back would be able to take it.

@Steve and Tom, I had to try several pair before I found a pair that fit really well, as stated they make several models some more suited to off road running ( thicker soles and different tread) and others for water sports, road running, ect. With ALL of them you have to get used to em, very different feel then normal shoes.
