I kind of like it too. Need to do something with the fenders and tank shape. I like the blacked out one much more than the others. It kind of has a Mad Max look to it.

I dig it. Looks more like an AH-64 than that thing OCC tried to concoct.

Needs more of a passenger seat.
Taking sweetie pie for a ride is one of the great things about bikes.

I disagree, being able to get away from sweetie for a couple of hours is one of the great things about bikes.

Looks post-nuclear, but I like it. Dang, those oil coolers look very vulnerable. I stopped by North American Warhorse Cycles in PA (Scranton) today on a trip. I was eyeballing their Ducati's available. They had a way-tricked out S4S (or something) Monster with that oil cooler hanging low.

Competitor? That thing would probably eat the V-Rod alive, don't know how much competition it would be.

Looks like a ton of rake on the forks, to me. I don't think it's gonna get any handling awards.

Yeah, but side by side, they are similar in rake. And what awards does H-D win in the handling department?

looks cool but wasnt there someone that was taking Ducatis and converting them into cruisers....I dont remeber who it was but they were much better looking than that thing.

Hmmmm another thought....are "sport cruisers" the way of the future?

As some of you know, I got a Ducati GT1000 last November. It represented what seemed to be the best of the Duc aura with a more practical (esp. for a 66 yr old) driving position. At 407 lbs and 95 hp, its fast, agile and still comfortable. Don't even ask about the exhaust note.
As to V Rod competitor, I doubt Duc even recognizes Harley as a competitor.

I was at a large Ducati dealer on Tuesday, salivated over a yelloe GT1000 and a red GT1000S. Any regrets/complaints?

In answer to your questions: No regrets. As much fun as getting geezered on my TBA was, the pure adrenaline of speed, handling and braking can't be beat. And did I mention the exhaust note from the Termignonis?
It's a great GT Tourer also, as I learned on a 3 hour slab run.
So, no regrets on the purchase.

Termi ....what?

"Termignonis"

You should see a doctor about that, he'll get you a cream for it.

Ah Stewart ... the Termignoni disease.
I also have it from my Aprilia Mille and my Ducati 998 before that.
A disease you can ... fall in love with!

There's no cure for Termingoni's, well maybe some Ferracci?

HAHAHA, first thing I did to mine was getting rid of the pillion. but I guess it also depends on age and/or how long you've been together
