With summer here it becomes more and more common. Its slippery. I had both tires slip and grab at an intersection as I was making a turn. Luckly the tires grabbed hard and I was able to bring it back up straight pretty quickly. But there for a brief moment, I thought , well I didnt really have time to think. Oddly enough I was right in front of our local hospital.

Intersections are THE most likely place for you to find something to slip on... be it diesel fuel from big rigs stopping and starting, oil from leaky cages sitting at red lights, coolant from overheating cages in summer, or even that half a cup of coke that the cager in front of you decided to toss out the window.
You shouldn't be in the middle of the lane at an intersection, you should be in the tyre print of the cages, with your eyes peeled from anything they've dropped there for you.
It's a jungle out there...

Toll booths are the worst!! Stay in the wheel track and be CEREFULL when you put your foot down! I had my foot slip off the peg once after paying a toll. Had to pull over and wipe it off in the grass.

When I can't avoid those things, I get over really close and plant my foot on the curb (kerb) by the tollbooth window.

OOH OOH (Horshack noises) I got one too.
ATM's. Especially the ones under roof. The collection of toxic waste right in front of the machine where the cars sit and idle is usually impossible to avoid, with your tires or your boots.....

I would think any drive through window could potentially be slick.

Parking Structures.. people dump their trash out the car door before leaving.. cars sit and idle while dripping oil, coolant, etc. and most parking structures involve sharp turns

As far as I am concerned you should never be in the middle of the lane at anytime. When on a 2 lane road I am in the left side of my lane and as close to the center line as I can get. When on a 4 lane road or highway I do the same when in the right lane. When in the left lane I am on the right side as close to the right lane as I can get.
In these positions you have a much better lines of sight, can be seen better, easier movement between lanes and will have more room in case you have to perform emergency avoidance.
