Well since my son (QuantumSchema) has been postign pics of his America I figured i should post some of my Speedy that got him started. She is a '06 that I found a couple of years ago.

Had Bubs and AI removed from the previous owner. I took out the snorkle and added a Polaris bellmouth and K&N filter, rejetted. I liked the solo seat look so I went with the seat and rail, and fender rack. The bags are Viking bolt-on that are just big enough to fit my lunch. The windscreen is a Mephis Shades Shooter that I use in the winter or when the lovebugs are swarming. I put on the Rivco risers and they helped a lot with shoulder aches. Also, added Rivco light bar and dual horns under the bike to help get attention on the road. And of course Kury Iso's and mirrors.
Now that my son has his looking so good I am going to have to step up my game!

Thanks everyone. Yes the black and red ones look great! But then they all do don't they. I wish my son and I could ride together but he is in Tampa and I am 6 to 7 hours away up in the panhandle. But sometime soon we will do it. He has been able to ride mine when he and his family came up to visit.

That is a mighty fine bike ya got there!
Here soon it'll look as good as mine.
But yeah, that's the bike that started my madness. Hopefully we'll be able to go out riding soon. I've got more scenery and destinations down here but I got a feeling I'll be the first to take the 7 hour trip by bike to the other's place. Probably like Thanksgiving...
He's right about me ridin' his bike while I was up there last. I practically commandeered it! It was early and I wanted to go ride a Triumph! Plus I wanted to feel the difference between an '06 Speedy and an '03 America.

Hopefully this works to show how it mounted. I got the horns and relay for free as a package with Rivco for the light bar. I think they are like 118dB. I have it wired so they and the OEM horn works together. Sounds lound to me.

It looks better to me... but then again it's red and black..
It would be cool to ride with you.. I just don't want to join the iron butt association to get down there to ride with you and then back to get to work.

Don't you know those frame holes are meant for a centerstand?

That's where RIVCO suggest you place them. Personally, I put them up front in the stock horn location... either way they're still loud!!!

I found these Mutazu MU hard bags online and thought they would look great on my bike. Got those and some EZ Brackets at the same time. My first reaction is WOW those are huge. I am slowly getting used to them. I like the shape and they seem to go well with the back of the bike.
They are very handy and bigger than my old small leather bags. I like the lights too. I have them set up to be run/brake lights. They have made a change and the older bags used LEDs that were said to fail quickly. These had a regular bulb in them.

They look good, though they're not as wide as my old Harley Sport Glide bags.

Thanks! I'll try to get some good pics with a more interesting background when I get back in town. My plan is to paint the bags to match the tank. At this point I am thinking of painting the doors sunset red and doing a gold pinstripe around the edge. Debating whether to try it myself or hire it out.

Thanks! Being retired military, it was really neat being the featured bike on Veterans Day. As luck would have it I was visiting my son (Quantum Schema) so I got to show off a little, although he had the featured bike a few months ago. Now we are even, although I think my bike looks better

Hi Lou, I'm liking your bike! Ive got the same bags with easybrackets on my America, theyre not available in the UK so I had em shipped from the States, I too thought they were a bit wide, but I've got used to them now and the wife now fills em up where ever we go! I'm hoping Santa might leave me some money so I can get them sprayed up to match my bike in the new year. Safe riding.

Thanks. I am getting used to them. Its nice to be able to carry stuff I need to work like lunch, shoes, and sport coat. And also I can put my half helmet and reflective vest in there no problem.
The pics of your bike look great too.. I liek the one in front of the diner. Great retro look.

I finally got sick of having the stock rear turn signals clutter up the view so I took them off and rewired the lights in the bags to be run/turn lights instead of run/stop.

I think it cleans it up a bit.

I finally took the plunge and got some white walls. While I was at it I got new EBC brake rotors front and rear. Since I had it all stripped down I figured it was a good time to put the gaiters I wanted on there too... It was a busy week but I think the end result is worth it.

Thanks! I'm waiting to see what my son (QuantumSchema) thinks about it. He and his family are coming to visit and it will the first time we get to ride together. Unfortunately he isn't bringing his bike up so I rented a HD. We'll have to flip a coin. The winner gets to ride my bike.

it kind of goes without saying that the loser will be on the Harley, they usually go hand in hand

I thought about doing the pads. But I kind of like the gloss black against the red on the tank.
