E-mail from LFC:
"It will fit on the earlier Speedmaster, at some point they have gone to a much wider frontend and I do not think it will work on these models. If for some reason yours doesnt fit just return it to us for a refund."

When did the front end change ???

It didn't, other than the later tapered shrouds which shouldn't effect anything.

Just the pic I included when I opened this thread. My bike is still apart and it ain't riding season yet. But soon my bike will be reassembled and I can road test the Acewell. Then I'll have more pics and info for ya'll.

Not to sidetrack this thread, but what type of speedometer do Suzuki's and Kawasaki's use. There is a cable available that looks mechanical in the pictures for the Acewell speedo's.

Good job M.M. Now im saving up my $ to get one of those. Thinking on the spedo drive outlet, it has a thread - maybee some sort of cap-nut would do the job, sort of like a valve cap on the wheel.

After several e-mails with LFC they say the adapter will not fit.

I've had the same info Jim. I have just emailed them back as you're post wasn't up yet and no doubt will be told the same thing again.

Mind you, they did say they wouldn't mind someone like myself send them my speedo drive so they could use it as a prototype to develop one.

No discount or anything though

Maybe they think I'm one of their benevolent fund's

Btw, I also emailed Acewell or their parent company and was told I had to ask the Aus Distributor any questions. Geez, here we go again. Another middle man fleecing the poor downtrodden staffo.

When the dust settles and Keith can get off his instrument and back on his bike after it stops snowing over there, I might be able to get a better picture of what model I want, and some answers to some of my questions too.

Until then it might be in the "little too hard basket" just for now.

Fyi, here's the Aus distributors website which at least has a few more pics.
