Me too. Joined in '03 when I bought the America.
I like their magazine and all they do for motorcycling.

They do good works for riders, it pays to be a member.

They rock, I am also a member of the MMA here in MA. These organizations do a great job representing us. Just recently the MMA was instrumental in crushing proposed legislation in NH looking to institute a helmet law and to force all riders to run exhaust with EPA labels. MMA actually went to NH to protect our riders who wander over the border regularly. Safety in numbers!

I believe if you sign up online, AMA may have a free stranded motorist service now too, that may extend to all the member's vehicles? Can't remember, and too lazy to go to their web site.

We sure need somebody in our corner to try and knock back the oddball laws & bills that get introduced. It seems a few of our elected officials love to spend time on graba-- issues, like putting outriggers on motorcycles, and then ignore what is important, like - an economy swirling the bowl. (Remember when we actually used to do things in this country, like build hydro power plants , highways & schools to put people to work? Can't do that now - somebody might get mad or fall down & get hurt.)

AMA's getting us access to the diamond / commuter lanes was worth whatever I've paid them, even if I rarely use that type of lane. It's good for all of us, and probably wouldn't have happened without them. When in diamond lane country however, I ride it just because --- I can.

To the best of my understanding, NYC is the last and only commuter lane problem area for motorcycles. NYC is its own country when it comes to traffic laws anyway. All other states and cities are apparently now on board.

Now, I'm off in a snow storm to fix a diesel fuel dispenser pump with no canopy, that's broken due to driver abuse. (whine, moan, bi---)
Yay!

OK, I'm in. Been procrastinating (my special talent) for a while, but I just gave them my $39.

Might decide to let my AAA lapse since AMA seems to also cover cars and RVs (if you sign up for auto-renew).

The free roadside is for any vehicle you are in including motorhomes. And for yous Sallys, trailers too. You only get it if you give em a crcrd # and okay them to take your $39 yrly.

I'm a member. Best thing they did recently was the sale of the AMA racing series to Daytona Motorsports. The AMA is getting back to their roots. Three years ago I almost told em to fork off. Rob Dingman is why I stayed with the AMA.

When I got my insurance from Nationwide they gave me a discount for being a member of AMA, then they gave me the AMA membership for the first year. I liked it and have kept it up and I get the insurance discount every year.

I joined a little over a year ago. The road side assistance is a great deal.
