Thanks...I at least have a couple of other pointers to go try. One is that I was only using one magnet so I am going to see what happens when I increase the number used. I am also going to try to run a dedicated Ground wire to see if that might help with what I believe is interference.

Lastly, I am checking with the place you purchased your unit to see if there is anything that is different between their bundled unit (with sensor and magnets) and th normal "Harley" version.

I hope to be able to dive back into this tonight and see if I can make some progress.

Steven

SUCCESS!!

After running a dedicated Ground wire back to the battery and adding more magnets (one per each of the 5 "spokes" of the sprocket), I have the Koso Speedo working. I still have a little more tweaking to do, but the speed seems to be close and the odometer clicks off miles very close to the mile markers on the highway.

This isn't the greatest photo, but I wanted to share the lastest view of this mod.

Thanks for the help and the ideas,

Steven

I've been watching this thread because I've been wanting to do this mod for a little while now. Keith's turned out so good and now yours looks great too. I'm glad it worked out for you...I had my fingers crossed for you and was hoping you'd get it sorted out.

Steven, I really like the solution you found to relocating the speedo. It's clean and straightforward and does what it's supposed to do without too many bells and whistles.

I would like to do the same for my '04 America. Can you point me toward a dealer's website?

I found a 'KOSO' site but couldn't locate the speedo you installed.

Thanks...
