I've been with AMA for 12 years,no complaints. you also get discounts from many on line vendors. Just bought a tire from BikeBandit.com, the discount brought the price down to $100. for a Metzeler Front tire. Steve

Yeah Steve?!
Well, my friend and fellow motorcyclist Dr. Phil Shore, who practices medicine(and says he's gonna KEEP "practicing" medicine until he gets it right) is a member of BOTH AMAs, and so he get discounts at not ONLY BikeBandit.com but ALSO at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. TOO!!!
(just thought you'd like to know that)

They rock, I am also a member of the MMA here in MA. These organizations do a great job representing us. Just recently the MMA was instrumental in crushing proposed legislation in NH looking to institute a helmet law and to force all riders to run exhaust with EPA labels. MMA actually went to NH to protect our riders who wander over the border regularly. Safety in numbers!
I didn't know that MMA was into that. They would be quite good at the necessary arm twisting though.

I'm in, get the mag every month and sent my cards in over that dumb lead law that blocked sales of youth bikes. A great organization that has returned to its purpose.

I did not see that until after I signed up the other day, or I would have asked around if for some one to reference.

I used to be a member....I let it lapse a couple years ago cause I got tired of every piece of mail from them asking for money. I understand they are non-profit and are a HUGE asset to the MC community. I would like to join again and support the cause but I really don't want to feel badgered for donations. Maybe Ill just donate.

The AMA has been betraying bikers for years. Ask the Booze fighters how the AMA sold them out. They make concessions to politicians while asking you to stay calm. Thats not how its done in the good ole USA. you gotta raise h#ll, and scream loudly. Thats how the underclass's made there stand, and won. Rightfully so I might add. Here if it beeds it leads. The wheele that squeeks the loadest gets the greese. How do you think the motorcycle laws got so draconian. The AMA making deals instead of making headlines.
