I want to get an airbox removal kit but it looks like their is more than one out there. I saw one at British Customs and another at newspeedmaster.com. Does anyone know the difference in the two/ have any opinions?

The big consensus on site is: buy the one from newspeedmaster.com.

Or triumph performance has one too. I bought the freak kit and a year later moved my battery and eliminated it all together. Looking back I would do a ghetto freak set up if you want to keep the stock look. I thought it was pricey for a poor fit. Bolt rubbed the pods and I couldn't get my cheese graters back on because the holes didn't match up well. If you like the open look you can do that for 1/3 the price. Here is the tpusa link www.triumphperformanceusa.com

I bought the Freak from newspeedmaster but once I gopt it was disappointed. It worked OK with some tweeking to make things line up but it's a lot of money for not very much. Had I known what it actually consisted of I would have made my own. If you can do your own it does the job.

I like the empty look that the Freak kit allows. Does the ghetto version do the same. Does anyone have pics?

The Freak does not leave the open look it leaves the bike looking stock but there is no air box leaving room to mount other stuff.

There is a DIY kit available from Bellacorse. Anyone tried one of these? Probably the commercial version of the ghetto freak.

If youre looking for the open look then youre talking about relocating the battery, ditching the side covers, and using k&n pods. If you wanna keep the stock plastic then you want the kit from newspeedmaster the "freak kit"
If you want the open look, check out this link and let me know if youre interested. http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/forums/...part=1&vc=1
