Well as you all know Bonnie asked me to marry her this year and I said yes. So we have decided that we would like all of your company, so we decided to coincide it with our 5th meeting in the Yorkshire Dales.
The ride out will be to the Tan Hill Inn on the Saturday leaving around lunch time, where Bonnie and I will of arranged the ceremony. We would like all of you who turn up to be our witnesses.
As you will of gathered this is no “WHITE WEDDING”, it’s a “BIKERS WEDDING”, all you need to wear is leathers. ( Better make that waterproofs)
Date to be fixed as we sort everything out.

We have now sorted the date out with the Tan Hill Inn and the registrar at Richmond, Dent next year for our wedding will be the 19th May, so book the 18th and 19th in your diary for next year.Usuall meet places on the way up.
The run out will be to the Tan Hill Inn for our wedding at 2pm strictly BIKE GEAR on the saturday for the wedding.
So you are all invited to be our witnesses to this special event.

Bonnie and I had run through the other week, but I could not remember where the road to the Tan Hill came from... We ended up having a cuppa in Hawes and then came home.

Probably not going to help you Ray, but Hawes is in Wensleydale and Tan Hill is in Arkengarthdale. When I lived in North Stainley, used to go Masham, stop off at the pub next to the Theakstones Brewery, refuel, up to Leyburn over Redmire Moor to Reeth up the Arkengarthdale Road to Tan Hill, some where near the pub, there used to be a little humpy back on the road, that if you hit it fast enough, could get plenty of air and loads of hang time . The joys of youth. This is a bit of a redundant post, as we'll be coming from the opposite direction

HI I've been up te tan hill a few times from hawes you head up to keld and then on to tan hill the scenary is stunnig however just after keld there is a really sharp hairpin that can be interesting especially if you are in a car but like I said the views are well worth it mate

I was new to this site and just missed out on DENT 2011. This sounds like an ideal way to meet you all in 2012. Put me down with a poss +1 depending on what bricks and mortar accomodation I can fix up as the other half DOESN'T CAMP (apparantly!).Any ideas on B+B's from previous years?

you can book at the George & Dragon or the Sun Inn make sure you book it early as it is used for walkers as well as the guys n girls attending.... weekend is 18th & 19th May 2012.....

Congratulations to you both. That is going to be a weekend to remember. I'm sorry but myself and Keith won't be able to come, this is the only weekend we can't do unfortunately. Rats rats rats; one of them plaques was mine this year!!!!! I have the proverbial phoenix emerging. Have it all set up to be basically complete for end March; bar the K&N's. I believe all the beds in the George & Dragon and the Sun Inn have been booked up, so if you are thinking of attending and you do not fancy camping with the rest of us, you need to be looking at B&B's in Dent.
I will be posting up in a few weeks the price for camping and the monies towards the plaques for the BEST BIKE, FURTHEST TRAVELLED and BEST CUSTOM
If you are new to the site this year will be our 5th year at Dent and you will be made welcome, you will make new friends and also see some strange looking America and Speedmaster bikes. The best of it is they are all parked together and you can ask questions.

DENT 2012 ITINERARY
We’re in to the New Year and it is that time again where I bug you all for cash
The fees for camping and plaques this year are £10.00 per person per night. To include £2.00 per person each night towards the plaques. (You can see a preview of them further up in this thread).
We have a ride out planned to the TAN HILL we have been here before on a ride out organised by Chris (oldgimmer), but this time we will be making a more direct root to the highest pub in Great Britain (if you know how to get there feel free to start off on your own).
We will be leaving Dent around 12pm, it is around 30 miles but it is all up hill on country roads and hopefully the weather will be kind to us.
There is a car park at the side of the Tan Hill, where we will all park up and gather in the pub ( the barn is to your left through the room and in the corner ) Bonnie and I have arranged our Marriage Ceremony for 2pm.
We have arranged a photographer whose name is Luke, and he will be making demands of us and probably asking you to take part in our special day. (Luke will be with us all day and evening)
After the Ceremony we are heading back down to Dent, where the BBQ will be available if you require it. There is also a buffet on in the George & Dragon later on. You can also order food from the bar as well, please see the menu’s.
The plaques will be presented as usual around 9pm in the George & Dragon so if you’ re one of those that eat in the Sun Inn please make sure you arrive in the George around 9pm ish.
You might notice a few new faces around and these will probably be either friends or family who have just turned up for our special day.
If you are new to the forums and fancy meeting up with friendly people who only meet up a couple of times a year and talk nothing but bikes, put your name below. This is the ideal time to meet up and make new friends and join our big happy family on Bonnevilleamerica.com and Triumph Cruisers forum.
We also have a few Thunderbirds (12, I believe) who turned up last year, a few of these used to own America’s and Speedmasters.

Just wondering if anyone is passing close to Leamington Spa and wants a pillion? My son would love to attend, but rather hard to get there on a 125, without going on a motorway!!!!

It was a works training do, attitude adjustment or something 
I was kinda miffed when I got there to found out it was an "informal" thing, so I needn't have worn the company uniform or even gone in the van ( instead)
I'm on call this week, so no drinky-poos at all
(Although if I get a chance, I might have just the one tomorrow )
If I'm sent there again and I'm not on call, I might take you up on that offer!!

Anyone coming from down South can still meet Chris (Oldgimmer) on the M6 at LANCASTER SERVICES at 12 ish.
Usuall meet at Devil's Bridge for everyone else at 1.30 - 2pm, I will be at Devil's Bridge.If you are going to Lancaster Services please post up then Chris will not have a wasted journey
You can always make your own way to Dent as I think the majority of people will know how to get there....
Saturdays run out will be around 12 ish to the Tan Hill Inn (The highest public house in the Britain.....

I was going to Lancaster Services, but just as happy to meet at Devils Bridge. Although if Chris wants some company, will now be stopping at Caton for Bacon buttie and coffee. So if he can manage to ride from home to coffee shop, without a break, I can meet him there to escort him to Devils Bridge!!!

Hi Ray, Should be OK to find the service station . But from then on lol. Be going up the A14 around 8am Friday morning to join the M6 North at Coventry. Then going up the M6 toll road if anybody is going that way let me Know if you want to join me. Should get to Lancaster's service around 12 then.As Ray wont be there. From meeting Geoff its about 150 miles, maybe slightly under. So allow 2 1/2 hours, plus at least one stop, so call it 3 hrs from Corley. So about 11:30 at yours, allowing for Geoff travelling light!!!!
Of course if just us on the 'tractor' , leaving Corley at 8:30 - should mean we would get to you about 8:15

So I think it would be best if we stuck to plan A!!! i.e. I meet Geoff at 8:30 at Corley Services, we take a gentle ride up to Caton, grab a coffee there, then meet everyone at Devil's Bridge.

Hi Paul Yep think its best to go to the service station for 11.30 till 12.00 ish. Spoke to Ray today about it and he is fine with that. Not sure but Mal normal meets at the service station as well.Plus Chris says he will come there.Anyone else out there ?. I have your mob number from last year Paul. Safe journey everybody, will meet everybody at Devil's Bridge between 1pm and 2pm...
Take it easy and give yourselves plenty of time, hopefully it will be dry............ish.......
If anyting like today, riding up there on the bike 3 1/2 hour clean when I got back and that is a quick clean, could not leave it, the state it was in....

Well the Sun was shining when I left by horton I couldn't feel my hands but a great weekend and many thanks to bonnie and ray for inviting us all along
Had a quick look at the pictures and some good pre wedding ones I'll sort them out and either drop them off or put them on a disc do you want the raw picture as they have the most detail or converting to jpegs

I was enjoying the ride that much I deliberately went a longer way. Instead of getting off at J15 I went down to J12, along the A5 and back up the A38

Dear All,
Sorry we haven't posted all week, things have been a little busy.
Firstly a huge thank you to everyone for making it possible to us to be part of Ray and Bonnie's big day.
Jahel has since been reviewed by the Orthopaedic people down here, who decided to pin her leg. She had her op this afternoon, and is now recovering well, and will be coming home tomorrow.
Once again thank you all for your kindness.
Will hopefully see some of you at the Farmyard.
