Hi, I am new to the board. I just bought this 2002 Triumph Bonneville America at a Harley dealer for a decent price. Man it's hard to get these things when one's available.
This is my first bike since I was 19 (I'm 46 now).
I'm looking forward to learning from this board.

Welcome Hasso. Looks exactly like my 02 when I got it in 04, minus a windsheild. You're going to love this bike, and you (as did I) will learn everything you need from this site.

Thanks, everyone! I will check out the image site too, appreciate the tip in on the pic. Windshield will be here next week.....(slipstreamer SHD-O, which I found via this site - so, thanks again). I have been searching for info on the speedo problems I'm having - but I haven't found the info all in once place yet. What I can gather is, replace the cable, if that doesn't work, replace the unit. (reads insanely high about 65% of the time).
Thanks again. I'll be lurking, and, as time goes on, I'll happily contribute once I know something....

Hasso: welcome to the site. The people here are incredible in their help to the other members.
I bought my 02 America new, and after 7k miles the speedo went crazy. The odometer worked fine. I ended up buying a new speedo. Have 28k miles on the new one. Same cable.
So, if your odometer is still working, I don't think a new cable is going to help.
You have bought a great bike.
Enjoy!

Thanks, Ted. Odometer is working fine. And I bought it with 7700 miles on it.....interesting. I'll try the speedo.
