After the last time I tried this, I've decided to leave it BIG

The wife of a very good mate is the Staffs regional fund raising coordinator (or something!) for the Midlands Air Ambulance.
I've done a few 'bucket shaking' events with them and at Christmas I help out when the MAA do tree carrying to people's cars at Cannock Chase for a donation.
Are the Unwanted just doing this off their own bat and just donating what they raise or have they contacted the MAA do you know?
I know if they want them, Maria will gladly get them posters and freebie giveaways and stuff if'n they want 'em.
I know it's a bit short notice but let me know if I can help. They only live 15 mins from me so I could get stuff over to them and you know I'm in Burton most Fridays and I don't mind taking a run up there anyway.
Weather forecast is looking good all week, I might try and get along there.

Loverly Jubberly.

Be good to see you, and hopefully lots of money raised.

New member workshyfop (Tony) stopped by too which was good to meet a new face.

I think it went pretty well.

Quite a few people turned up later and were happily putting money in the bucket by the door, which I swapped as soon as I realised that that was the BMF bucket.

A bit later on I went round rattling the (proper) bucket under peoples noses and mugged them for their loose change

I don't know how much was raised as the MAA will be opening the bucket at some point.

How'd it go from your side? Sell much? And more importantly, did the money match what stock went?

I take it you took away the big bucket that you brought, as it was some time before I noticed it was missing

Jesus, you were p!ssed!!
You changed the BMF bucket by the door while I was there. It was still there when I left. You were directing people to it as they came in and decided to keep it to use and take to MAA in Tatenhill.
As for the gear I bought back, I don't know how much is in the collecting tin cause it's sealed and I'll let them have it with the unsold stuff.
Let's just say that based on what stock I bought back and what should be in the tin, I would have been better not going but giving 'em hundred nicker and gone out on my bike
That's the way things go I suppose. At least we gotta few quid for a good cause.
It would be nice to know how much they took in the end
