Cocktail shaker jetting
      #565759 - 06/25/12 11:51 AM

Have some cocktail shakers on the way for my 05 Speedmaster. Also ordered a K&N replacement filter, was going to gut the airbox and remove the snorkel, and remove the AI system. Using the Dinqua's jetting calculater, there is no cocktail shaker option. Not sure which existing exhaust on the calculator they compare best to. Playing around I found myself between 132 and 137.5 suggested main jet. I ordered 135's figuring I would be safe right in the middle. Suggestions?

Yeah, for K&N pods it recommends 155's, however I will just be gutting the airbox and using the single k&n filter.

Did you have any other mods to the airbox? Did you end up needing any shims?

I have no air box, K&N pods only. No shims and stock pilot jet. I am at sea level.

good thread, I just got cocktail shakers and the FREAK, so I'll be using K&N PODs by this weekend.
I think I'm currently running stock jets, but have in my possession, 160 (came with FREAK), 132.5, 130, 127.5, 122.5, & 120's...geesh.

The calculator, using MISC OPEN PIPES, shows that I will need 150's.
If anyone wants to trade 150s for any of the above mentioned MJs let me know.

Well I got the exhaust on. So I am de-snorkled,K&N drop in filter, and the exhaust. I have 135 main jets in it. It's running great, although I have some pops and backfires on decel. When behind the bike I see some little blue fire balls coming out the back. Still waiting for my D-tool to arrive to adjust the mixture screws a bit. Then I will remove the baffle in the airbox and drill the bottom hole of the airbox for the dual entry, since my filter is already modified for it. Calculator says I might need 137.5's but well see.

progress: Cocktail shakers on and they sound excellent. Airbox removed, and digging in to the carbs. Current set up was, 125 Mains w/ Stock needles and 2 shims. Dinquas calc shows with the Freak, open pipes, & no shims I should have 155mains...I'm gonna put in the 160's I have on hand and see what happens
