Since it was an experiment, I went dirt cheap, the tire brand is Duro ($75) and it's a 130/90-17 on a TBS stock front wheel. Yes, it handles and corners just fine. I can't make it slip and I have tried.

Very nice! What did you do to the right side engine case? It looks like you gave it the GFG treatment?

 I bought the rough unfinished cover and guard, poof-canned 'em black and worked the fins out with a 2x6 inch stone, took about 3 hours of whittling to get it acceptable. BTW, no complaints about the machine work for the case mating surfaces and the stator mounting.
