Nice article Troy. Thanks for sharing.
I'm of the mindset when riding in group, or alone to ride my own road....that is to say set a pace (for myself) that makes the ride an enjoyable experience & not a white knuckle, pushing the envelope, adrenilin fest. the later makes any ride too much like work then, and it becomes less enjoyable for me. I'm all for challenging & improving ones riding skills during rides (from time to time), but not to the point where poor judgement defeats sound reasoning and the level of one's experience. The most imporant thing is to arrive alive!

Good article and I need to take it on board more. I tend towards the aggressive and take more risks than I should. They are calculated risks but still risks. I like the way this makes a challenge out of better riding.
On a small note, I prefer not to take the outside wheel track on corners as this article recommends because there is often spilled diesel on the outside wheel track. Centrifugal force sends it out the overflow of trucks with full tanks. Very slippery stuff. This may be unique to Australia.

Yes, good words.
My son and I ride together sooo... often that we sometimes find ourselves with one of our noses right up the other ones ass.
This was ALMOST embarrassingly evident on day one of the GA. Rally!

I like to ride for comfort. I really enjoy riding my bike. I just don't like taking unnecessary risks.
