Greetings from Las Vegas....the city that never sleeps. Plenty of drunk cages around at all hours. There is no curfew on bars; they are open 24/7 365 days a years.
I have much riding history through 1983 when I sold my '79 Bonneville Special....very sad! No bikes as 2nd wife SWMBO and said a bike and we get divorced etc. Had to wait until she divorced me and I bought a new 07 SM in March 08.
We now have over 4K on it and have removed the stock mufflers and AI. Replaced with Long TORS on which I am now performing a bafflectomy on one hole at a time until I get the sound I like. I have about 25 holes drilled and it is getting better all the time. Short sissy bar and luggage rack, Triumph Big Leather Saddlebags, engine bars, auxiliary lights from wally world, highway pegs and a Maier windshield. It was priced right at JC Whitney and does the job for me although I am still wanting lowers.
The bike is just the cats pajammas. Has more power and accelleration than I could use and handles like dream. My only problem is that I was used to a much lighter bike and I have gone down on this one about 5 times. All at very slow speeds and during left turns. I since then have dragged myself to the MSF course and not a problem since.
I am contemplating floorboards, modification of the air box, and a set of Corbin Seats with Passenger Pillion in Tan leather with black studs just to be different. I also am thinking about an America style handlebar as mine just seem just so far away from me. Now if I could only find a decent used sidecar and mounts etc. I could take my dog Tarzan for rides. He loves the back of the pickup and out the cage window. Imagine what people would say when they see my red/black SM with sidecar containg a large Golden Retreiver wearing the required Snoopy leather helmet and goggles and white silk scarf?
Loving retirement at a geezer age of 65 and playing the field and looking for a lady to ride with.
I have learned a lot just from lurking and reading up on the technical stuff but I have not seem much about sidecars yet.
Anybody in Vegas wanna ride? Give me a call 769-5499.

Due to personal issues and not realizing that I had to toss my cookies (apologies to Friar John for the private e-mail), I have been a lurker for some time after previously registering here. My name is Ron, and I am about 30 mi north of Syracuse, NY. I'll be around again from time to time, just don't expect much from a contribution kinda view. Society has been waiting for that for over 42 years now.

Hi I'm Clive bought my America 3 weeks ago as poke in the eye to heaven, as I have been given a provisional all clear with cancer. So as I didnt need the money for a funeral the bike seemeed like a good idea.At first I thought it cant be a Triumph ,it's not leaking oil,but I am very pleased with it.Especially after percivering through 4 Hardly ableto's. Maybe great in the US but in the UK they are over priced and dont like the roads or the climate(1200 sportster a possible excepton shame about the chrome and ally athough)

I've been lurking for quite some time and just recently made a few posts. I'm 61 and was away from bikes for too many years. In '05, I decided it was time so I got a new Honda VTX 1300R. A few months later I saw an '05 Speedmaster and had to have it. Hid it in son's garage for two weeks waiting for just the right time to tell the wife. A year later I found an '06 Harley Ultra Classic and that made the wife real happy. Still have all three but son keeps the Honda in his garage. Which do I ride the most? Oh, the Triumph is easily my favorite. I ride it to work almost every day and that is the best part of my day. I ride alone but I feel like I know a lot of you just from lurking so long and so regularly.

Martin here from Phoenix, AZ signing in. Just picked up an '07 Amererica w/5k miles on it. This is my 4th Triumph. Had a Speed Triple, Sprint RS, and a Sprint ST prior to this one! Liked everyone, just like getting new bikes all the time I guess! LOL!
