No Worries, it really was that simple - plug and play.
It has the screw adapter on one end for the cable and the plug with the electrics on the other that just fits into the back of the unit.
Waiting for some magnetic bolts to turn up so I go the same way as Keith's on the back wheel so I lose the cable on the front, but it is a good quick solution to get you up and running with minimal hassle.
There is a bit more set up, which can be found in their FAQ to calibrate the speedo. (http://www.acewell.co.uk/FAQ/index.htm), but I found it was well out so ended up getting the misses to drive along side and calibrate that way
